I think mountain music might best describe what I do. Born and raised a fourth-generation Coloradoan, I've worked as a janitor, dish washer, water & sewer plant operator, ski area snow maker and snow cat driver, carpenter, farmer and rancher, horse trainer, park ranger, and photographer. I've been around, and melded these experiences into a simple style of guy and guitar. An epiphany at 50 made me decide I had to get my music down, and sent me to the studio. Wild Horse is the result, a CD of all original tunes that sing of life, love, politics, and the world we live in. For years I've made my home on a small ranch in South Park, Colorado. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful, creative, and spiritual places on the planet. I share this home with my wife, Carol Ekarius, a writer and an endless inspiration.
